Are you curious to learn about why certain weather patterns happen and tips on predicting the weather? If so, head to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences located at 11 West Jones St. Raleigh, NC 27601 on Saturday, June 18 for Stormfest! This is a free all-day event starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

At Stormfest, you can meet the meteorologists from four local TV stations, learn about weather, what it’s like to be on television, how to prepare yourself and your family in the event of dangerous weather, and you can also learn about the government resources that aid in storm response and recovery.

There will be two “Ask the Experts” panel discussions, a North Carolina hurricane history lecture, a family preparedness seminar provided by the Red Cross, and a VORTEX2 -Storm Chasing presentation sponsored by NC State University.

This is a great event for those seeking to increase their weather knowledge.
