The independent districts of Downtown Raleigh
Raleigh’s Downtown area is composed of several different districts. These districts are independent, but they work together to create a magnificent downtown area. These districts are the Fayetteville Street District, Moore Square District, Glenwood South District, Warehouse District, and the Capital District.
The Fayetteville Street District is considered the central business district. The Moore Square District is often considered the art district of downtown Raleigh. Although the Warehouse District has red brick warehouses, restaurants and specialty shops, the Glenwood South District has a row of warehouses. Its hip and trendy restaurants and condos have revived this area.
The Capital District is home to the NC history Museum and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. Learn more about these districts by visiting each of them. The downtown area is only 20 minutes from the Summermill at Falls River apartments. Are you familiar with any of these downtown districts?
