The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences offers fun events this Summer
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is hosting a variety of events this Summer for anyone who’s interested. From meeting live animals during their ‘Storytime’ sessions to exploring North Carolina with experienced naturalists, the museum has all aspects of keeping you entertained covered. Listed below are just some of the things it has planned this Summer.
Storytime sessions are available throughout the week (Monday-Friday) starting at 10:30 a.m. Their upcoming events and subjects they talk about can be found on their website. During these sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time listening to your favorite nature tales and to interact and meet live animals.
You’ll also be able to watch informative, fun videos on animals such as reptiles and amphibians. Held in the auditorium, Life: Reptiles and Amphibians‘s admission is free. The video starts at 10:30 a.m. and lasts for approximately 50 minutes.
If a family event is what you’re looking for, why not attend the museum’s Summer Walk tour. Here, families will leisurely walk a 1-mile course with a Museum naturalist to explore summer wildlife in the prairie, pond, and lowland arboretum. The walk will contain trails that are all natural, with some uneven surfaces and small hills.
